Privacy Policy

What we collect when you use Cataloger, how we use it, who processes it and the choices you have.

Last updated October 23, 2026. Read the Terms of Service as well.

1. Introduction

Cataloger ("we", "our" or "us") operates the website at cataloger.ai. This policy explains what we collect when you use Cataloger, how we use it and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

Account information. When you sign up with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. When you sign up with an email address we store that address, your name and a hashed password.

Photos and documents. The photos you add and any supporting documents you attach, and anything you type about an item. Photos you import from Google Drive or Dropbox are only the files you pick in the picker.

Catalog drafts. The titles, descriptions, estimates, research reports and tags drafted for your lots, and the edits and approvals you make.

Payment information. Billing details are handled by Stripe. We keep your Stripe customer id, your plan and your credit balance. We never see or store your full card number.

Usage data. How you use the product, such as the features you open, the lots you generate and the exports you download, plus the errors your browser and our servers report.

3. How we use it

  • To draft catalog lots from your photos, research them and prepare your exports.
  • To run your account: sign-in, credits, plans and receipts.
  • To send you a welcome message when you join and notices about your account, your credits or changes to the service.
  • To keep a record of each generation (what was sent and what came back) so we can review quality, investigate problems and refund credits when a run fails.
  • To understand how the product is used and improve it.

We do not sell your data and we do not show advertising.

4. Who processes it

Google. Sign-in and the Google Drive picker.

Dropbox. The Dropbox chooser, when you import from Dropbox.

Stripe. Payments, plans and receipts.

Supabase. Our database and sign-in service.

Google Cloud Storage. Where your photos are kept.

Vercel. Hosting and basic usage analytics.

AI and web research providers. Your photos and the details you type are sent to third-party AI services to draft each lot, and the item's details are used to search the web for comparable sales. We send only what the draft needs.

Monitoring services. Error reports and generation records go to monitoring services we run or subscribe to, so we can fix problems and review quality.

5. How long we keep it

Your catalogs, photos and drafts stay in your account until you delete them or close your account. Generation records are kept for quality review and are deleted with your account. Stripe keeps billing records for as long as tax law requires.

6. Your rights

  • See the data we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete your account and its data.
  • Export your catalogs at any time, from the Export action in the workspace.
  • Object to or restrict how we process your data.

To use any of these, email us at the address below.

7. Cookies

We use the cookies needed to keep you signed in. Vercel Analytics gives us basic, aggregate usage figures. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes we post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change matters to you, we say so in the product or by email.
